In his current role with global infotainment giant HARMAN, Robert and his team are working to revolutionize radio for today’s connected consumer. Damian Black

Damian started his career at HP in their European research labs, eventually running a European-wide middleware solutions business. At HP he led the team that pioneered IP Mediation - a real-time technology for analytics and billing in Telecomm, becoming market leader. He moved to XACCT as VP Product Management, acquired by Amdocs to power its real-time data mediation. Damian was also VP Sales and Business Development for Followap, a Sequoia funded company, market leader in mobile Instant Messaging and Presence until acquired by NeuStar, powering Vodafone's IM service, continuing Damian's career in real-time middleware. Damian is the author of ten patents and founder of SQLstream, a parallel engine executing continuous SQL queries against streaming big data in a cloud-based architecture.

Patrick Cook, Director of Innovation Services at PARC, a Xerox company, leads the delivery of human-centered insights to clients for projects spanning a variety of disciplines and application spaces. By breaking down silos commonly separating research, engineering, social science, design, and business strategy, his team identifies unmet needs, recommends practices that work, and helps create products and services that sell. A key method is ethnography, the naturalistic study of human behavior in context, which PARC pioneered in the realm of technology innovation. Nick Earl

Nick Earl is head of Global Mobile and Social Studios, overseeing design, programming, artwork, audio, research and development, and strategy for EA's mobile and social games studios. John Ellis

Niels Jonker

Mehdi Maghsoodnia

Mehdi has over 20 years of experience building great teams and operating both startups and public companies. Before BookRenter, Mehdi was SVP of products and services at CafePress where he joined the team in the early days and grew the company to over $130M in revenues. Prior to CafePress, Mehdi was SVP of products at Intellisync where they had 90% ownership of the mobile sync market before Nokia bought the company for $450M. Mehdi held a number of executive positions at other Valley companies and currently sits on the board of FaceTime, Pbworks and Fotomoto. Mehdi is also a geek at heart and did his undergraduate studies at Berkeley and his graduate studies in computer science at Stanford. Mehdi's favorite topic in college was fuzzy logic by Professor Lotfi Zadeh.

Om Malik

Om Malik has more than 15 years of experience as a journalist covering technology and business news. He was part of the founding team of Forbes.com as a Senior Editor. He then went on to become a senior writer at Red Herring during its glory days before joining Business 2.0 in March 2003, covering telecom, innovation and broadband stories. His contributions have been published in The Wall Street Journal, The Economist and MIT Technology Review. Terry McCabe

Terry McCabe was also Chief Technology Officer at Airwide, which was acquired by Mavenir.  Prior to Airwide, Terry McCabe held senior positions at Sema Group, including Vice President of Engineering and CTO.  In these roles McCabe oversaw Software Architecture, Research & Development, and Product Management in Europe and North America. These roles focused on messaging, prepaid, and value-added service applications, primarily based on wireless mobile network technologies. Terry led the company's participation in a number of standards organizations including the WAP Forum, the SMS Forum and TIA.Previously, Terry spent eight years with Digital Equipment working in Realtime Solutions, Telecommunications, and Software usability. During his tenure, he worked on a number of Open Systems interoperability initiatives established by the European Workshop on Open Systems (EWOS).Terry graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.

Clint McClellan

Senior Director, Market Development, Qualcomm and President and Chairman, Continua Health Alliance

Clint McClellan is currently the senior director of Market Development for QUALCOMM Incorporated. McClellan's current responsibilities include establishing opportunities in the Life Sciences market. McClellan joined QUALCOMM in December of 1997 as director of strategic marketing. McClellan brings a wealth of wireless industry analysis experience to QUALCOMM. Since joining QUALCOMM, McClellan has served in business development roles and established the Global Industry Analyst program and Global Market Intelligence program at QUALCOMM. Currently McClellan service as the Board Chairman for the Foundation for the Children of the Californias which supports Hospital Infantil, a pediatric Hospital, in Tijuana, Mexico. He also serves on the boards of CommNexus and the Wireless Communications Alliance.

Rick McConnell

Rick is Executive Vice President of Products and Development at Akamai, the leading cloud platform for helping enterprises provide secure, high-performing user experiences on any device, anywhere. He is responsible for leading Akamai’s Site, Enterprise Cloud and Media product divisions. With 25 years of product and business development expertise, Mr. McConnell has focused his career on the areas of Internet communications and collaboration technologies. Jeff Miles

Jeff is the current Vice President for Mobile Transactions at NXP. Mr. Miles has over 18 years of international and US experience as a key executive with VeriFone, ARCO and TNT Express Worldwide. He has spent over 10 years in the payments industry and played a key role in bringing contactless payments to the Quick serve industry through a partnership with VeriFone and MasterCard that led to the largest retail roll-out of contactless readers to date. Jody Ranck

Jody Ranck has a career in health and innovation spanning over 20 years in his work with corporations, foundations, non-profits, the United Nations and governments. He has consulted in the area of health and technology with a wide range of organizations including the mHealth Alliance, the Pan American Health Organization, Rockefeller Foundation and others. Previously he co-directed the health practice at the Institute for the Future and taught at UC Berkeley. Neville Ray

Appointed Chief Technology Officer in November 2010, Neville Ray is responsible for the national management and development of the T-Mobile USA wireless network, as well as the company’s IT services and operations. Originally from the United Kingdom, his career in the U.S. began in 1995 at Pacific Bell Mobile Services in California. He joined T-Mobile in 2000 as Vice President of Network Engineering and Operations, Northeast Region. Ray is an honors graduate of City University of London and a member of the Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and the Institution of Civil Engineers. Stephen Rayment

Stephen is co-founder and CTO of BelAir Networks (now a part of Ericsson). He brings more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and has worked extensively with service providers deploying new wireless technologies. Previously, he led the development of broadband wireless products, the launch of broadband multimedia satcom equipment and the design of the industry's first wireless PBX at Nortel and BNR. Stephen holds a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University, a Diploma in Administration from the University of Ottawa, is a graduate of the MIT Sloan School's Management of Technology program and a Senior Member of IEEE. Stephen is Vice Chair of the HotSpot 2.0 Marketing Task Group.

Vlad Sejnoha

As Nuance's Chief Technology Officer, Vlad Sejnoha oversees Nuance's research and focuses on core technology and product strategy, with an emphasis on emerging areas including natural language processing and mobile applications. Prior to joining Nuance, Vlad was the Chief Scientist at L&H, and earlier at Kurzweil AI, where he was responsible for creating technology for a number of commercially successful speech recognition products, including large vocabulary continuous speech dictation systems. Vlad has over 20 years experience in the field of speech recognition and holds thirteen US patents.
